The ECG25 set is among D'Addario's best-selling flatwound strings, offering a balance between a smooth feel, a warm and mellow tone, and increased tension. D'Addario Chromes strings are wound with a flattened strand of stainless steel and then polished to an incredibly smooth surface. Chromes strings offer the distinctive muted yet rich tone that only flatwound strings can produce. D'Addario Chromes strings are the most popular flatwound strings in the world.
